The rock tombs are located right next to the last houses in the village of Ovchevo, which makes them one of the most easily accessible Thracian monuments in the region. At first glance, the site impresses with its wealth of elements carved into the rocks and its clearly expressed cult character.
Trapezoidal niches can be seen in the immediate vicinity. The complex near the village of Ovchevo is part of the rich Thracian heritage of the Eastern Rhodopes and is an interesting example of the ancient inhabitants' ability to use the natural relief to create cult and burial facilities.
