Some of these have a circular plan and are called rotundas, a typical form of Roman funerary architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the adoption of Christianity in the 5th\u20136th centuries, burials continued in the same area, near the old pagan necropolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To the east of the path, the foundations of an impressive circular structure can be seen, built from two concentric circles and likely reaching a height of around 15 meters. It is believed to have had a domed roof and served as a kind of pantheon. At its center stood an altar with a sacred fire.
